Privacy Policy
Short, because we collect very little. This describes exactly what happens to information you give us, and it is accurate rather than boilerplate.

We collect only what you type into one of our forms. This site sets no cookies, runs no tracking pixels or advertising trackers, and loads no third‑party scripts. We do count page views — but from our host’s own server records, not from anything running in your browser, and it cannot identify you. We never sell, rent or trade your information, and we never will. Ask us to delete your data and we delete it.
Who we are
Signal & Song is published by MBSGG Global Network LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. We are the data controller for everything described here. Write to editor@signalandsong.com.
What we collect, and only when you give it to us

What we do not do
- No tracking pixels, no advertising trackers, no profiling, no cross‑site tracking.
- No analytics script in your browser — nothing is loaded to watch you.
- No cookies set by this site, and no browser storage used.
- No third‑party scripts. The magazine is a single self‑contained file.
- No selling, renting, trading or sharing your details with advertisers or anyone else.
- No adding you to any list you did not ask to join.
How we count visits, and what that does not involve
We use Netlify Analytics, which works from the request records our web host already keeps when it serves a page — the same logs every website on earth generates. There is no script on the page and no cookie in your browser. Nothing is loaded into your device, so there is nothing to consent to and nothing to block.
It tells us how many people opened an edition, which pages they read, and roughly where in the world they were. It cannot follow you to another website, cannot build a profile of you, and cannot tell us who you are. We chose it over Google Analytics for exactly that reason.
Who else touches your information
Only the companies that run the plumbing, and only to do their job:

We will disclose information if the law requires it. That is the only other case.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and submissions — kept while we are considering them and for a reasonable period afterwards, because we keep submissions on file for the next edition so you do not have to send them twice. Ask and we delete yours sooner.
- Email list — until you unsubscribe. Every email carries a link.
- Advertising records — kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
What published means
If we feature you, your name, story, likeness and photographs appear in the magazine and in material promoting it, under the terms of the Contributor Release you sign first. Published editions stay archived. Nothing is published without that signed release.
Your choices
Email editor@signalandsong.com and ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. We do not require you to prove a legal right before we help — ask, and we do it.
Children
This site is intended for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a child has sent us something, write to us and we will delete it. Where a person under 18 appears in a Spotlight, we require consent from a parent or guardian first.
Security, honestly stated
The site is served over HTTPS and we keep access to submissions limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. Please do not send us anything you would not want stored in an ordinary business mailbox — no card numbers, no social security numbers, no passwords.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will date the new version at the top and say so in the next edition email.
